The Darkness in Shadows

In the shadow of the night
Shined on by the moon's fierce glare
In a cave far well and hidden
I have truly met despair
Love was lost and they have left
Leaving me alone to cry
After that I thought of leaving
I thought it better just to die

A Field of Butterflies

I stand upon a grassy hill
And here I feel an icy chill
I sit upon a dew filled grass
The grass is green, there is a flash
Of colors; red, orange, green and brown
That fly or sit upon the ground

Gehenna

The sky grows black
And darkness falls
The moon shines red
Crimson, like blood
My eyes now close
I start to cry
Why must everything I love die?
The leaves they shrivel
Rose petals fall
Now night is forever
And death is for all

The Scales of Egypt

Lover hidden in the Sands
My heart resides in Ancient Lands
Under the deserts burning gaze
We met- my Heart was set ablaze

I traveled far, across the waste
Three days I trekked, onward I paced
I searched, for what was yet unknown
I wandered onward on my own

Until at last, with rising dawn
I found, to what, I had been Drawn
Upon a Temple, fell my sight
I followed inward, toward the Light

A Fountain stood, its Water gleamed
A Thirst, profound, came over me
By waterside, stone and cold
Stood statued figures, new and old

Marble women sitting down,
Stately children, gathered round
Amongst the Courtyard, strewn about
But thier pose inspired Doubt

A single Sip, within a Blink
And all were frozen in mid-drink
I stopped and looked, I noticed how
Off to the side, a Shadow now

And their you stood, the Test complete
The Time and Place we were to Meet
There wasn't Time, I couldn't stay
We'll meet again another Day

Madness falls
A shadowed curtain
Living in the words Unspoken
Lies are whispered in my voice
A noose that comforts and destroys
The world is breaking
Cracking in
Chances for construction:
Slim
Within without And not at all

Falling down

She wonders How

The light has ever touched the depths

And now when life

Comes falling through

The curtains close

And all is Through

All is done

All is complete

A fleet

Which fell

Could not compete

And summer's song

Dissembled

Broken

Lives Within the Words Unspoken
